The private-sector research institute CAR, which focuses on questions of mobility, needs a close exchange with science and is therefore expanding its leadership. Helena Wisbert has been the new director at the Center of Automotive Research since August 1st.
Wisbert studied business administration at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and received his doctorate at the Viadrinna University in Frankfurt (Oder). She wrote her doctoral thesis at Volkswagen. From 2008 to 2017 she was responsible for the market launch of electric vehicles in Sales & Marketing Germany. Wisbert also worked on the digitization strategy as a consultant to the Sales & Marketing Board of Škoda Auto.
Wisbert has been researching and teaching as a professor of automotive industry at the Ostfalia University in Wolfsburg since March 2022 in the Faculty of Economics. Her research focus is on new distribution systems. It is precisely in this area that the CAR is planning further studies and events. Previously, she was Professor of Sales & Marketing at FOM University.
“My goal is to offer our students practical, state-of-the-art lectures. The CAR offers a perfect platform for researching application-oriented topics of future mobility,” adds Helena Wisbert.
