A new tariff for “Services” within Beirut!

The head of the Federation of Drivers and Transport Workers Syndicates in Lebanon, Marwan Fayyad, announced that “the tariff within Beirut is 50,000 Lebanese pounds per service.”

Fayyad said in an interview with “Voice of Lebanon”: “There is no solution to the crisis in this sector except through the government putting a plan for the transport sector on the cabinet’s table, especially since it lifted fuel subsidies without this plan.

He added, “We must work to give support to drivers, a material allowance for vehicle maintenance and spare parts, and a financing card. The public sector must be involved with the private sector and work on all lines. The submissions provided by the National Fund for Insured Persons, especially public drivers, must be reconsidered, as the value of subscriptions may not be raised without Edit Submissions.
