Kozhikode: Heavy rain continues in various parts of the state. Red alert has been declared in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Idukki districts on Tuesday. According to the Central Meteorological Department, widespread rains and isolated heavy rains (64.5 mm-115.5 mm) are likely in Kerala from today to August 5. The Central Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a possibility of isolated very heavy or extremely heavy rains (more than 204 mm) during the days from today to August 4.
