Coaticook vanilla ice cream

However, the ingredient list contains several food additives (eg cellulose gum, carrageenan, propylene glycol, etc.). Nestlé Parlor French Vanilla Ice Cream and Nestlé Real Cream Light French Vanilla Ice Cream offer similar nutritional values and ingredients.
THE LEAST GOOD CHOICES
Among the worst choices are ice creams made with cream (and not milk). Their list of ingredients is often prettier, but their high fat and sugar content make them less good options.
Bourbon vanilla ice cream from Lambert

It is therefore one of the sweetest and most fat-rich options on the test bench. In addition, the ingredient list contains food additives (eg mono and diglycerides, locust bean gum, carboxymethyl cellulose, dextrose, guar gum, carrageenan).
Vanilla ice cream from Glacier Bilboquet
With 210 calories, 12 g of fat including 7 g of saturated fat and 20 g of sugar per 125 ml (1/2 cup) serving, this ice cream is one of the products with the highest sugar and fat content on the bench. test. The list of ingredients is short with the presence of only a few texturizing agents (eg guar gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum).

However, the ingredient list is short and simple, with no food additives. Vanilla ice cream from the same brand offers similar nutritional values and ingredients.
THE COMPROMISE
If the following two ice creams have the best nutritional values, the presence of sweeteners disqualifies them from our list. On the other hand, the calorie, fat and sugar contents are considerably lower than all the other varieties studied.
CoolWay Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Each serving of 125 ml (1/2 cup) provides 70 calories, 2 g of lipids and 6 g of sugars. This is the least sweet and least lipid-rich ice cream in the test bench. However, the ingredient list contains many food additives (e.g. guar gum, xanthan gum, locust bean gum, etc.) and erythriol (3 g per 125 ml serving), a sugar alcohol . The presence of dextrin explains its fiber content (3 g).
Chapman’s No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream
