We can say what we want but the Nintendo Switch, although it is not at the level of the Xbox Series X in terms of performance, is capable of running very heavy. The proof with this masterclass initially released on PC in 2015.

The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch is at an unprecedented price!

Originally released on PC in 2015, The Witcher 3 has conquered a large number of players and many have known the license thanks to this title. It is only 4 years later that The Witcher 3 sees its adaptation on Nintendo Switch arrive.

Fight monsters in The Witcher 3 from your couch

Whether you’ve experienced the game for the first time on PC or not, you’ve heard of the license inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels at least once in your life, if only because even Netflix has taken over the universe.

The Witcher 3 chronicles the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a witcher by profession, who travels the Northern Kingdoms in search of his daughter Ciri. On his way, you will have to face formidable monsters, many quests will be offered to you along the way and you will have to make difficult decisions impacting the rest of your adventure.

In short, you can easily expect more than a hundred hours of play to overcome the main story. Also note that this port on Nintendo Switch also includes the expansions released on PC.

So yes, you won’t have as beautiful a game as if you were on PC, but let’s still salute the feat that the CD Projekt teams managed to achieve by bringing such a colossal game to Nintendo Switch.

No, The Witcher 3 is not meant to be played in docked mode. No, it is not resplendent either, although much more correct, in mobile version and yes the framerate coughs a little in the living cities and the loadings can prove to be long. However, portability comes at a cost, and this overt downgrade has been made in favor of a colossal title that packs its core adventure and two expansions into a single cartridge that you can take anywhere with you. This small feat, rather impressive technically it must be admitted, however has a rather special target audience. If you have other means of discovering the game, on home consoles or on PC, the Switch version is not optimal and therefore dispensable. On the other hand, for a first time or the desire to immerse yourself in the adventure in a nomadic version, The Witcher 3 Switch version is an option to be seriously considered, if you accept the logical sacrifices made to this nomadic version.
