Paris (AFP) – Frenchman Gérard Prêcheur has been appointed Paris SG women’s coach to replace Didier Ollé-Nicole, who has not been accused of “no breach” by PSG, who suspended him at the end of May for accusations of “inappropriate” behavior. , announced the Parisian club on Monday.
Prêcheur, 62, former coach of Olympique Lyonnais (2014-2017) with whom he won the Women’s Champions League twice, signed up until June 2023, “with an optional additional season” , according to PSG.
He replaces Ollé-Nicole, in post for less than a year until he was sidelined at the end of May to investigate accusations of “inappropriate” behavior towards a player, which he disputed before investigators. .
“At the end of the internal investigation carried out on May 24, no fault or breach was found once morest him,” said PSG in a press release over the weekend, noting Ollé’s departure. -Nicole “by mutual agreement”, one year from the end of her contract.
Prêcheur arrives at PSG with his son Jocelyn, who will occupy the role of assistant in place of Bernard Mendy. He took over the reins of the team at the end of the season following Ollé-Nicole was sidelined.
