News 24 | Health: 4 simple changes that motivate children to engage in physical activity

The Ministry of Health advised to take care of a set of simple changes that may direct children to engage in physical activity early; in order to preserve their health.

The ministry explained that these changes include not leaving young children in front of the TV or screens for long hours, indicating that children under the age of two should not use screens for entertainment, and from the age of two to four years old, the hours of using electronics should not exceed one hour per day.

She called for daily activities appropriate for children, such as running, cycling, high jumping, using stairs, swimming and football, noting the importance of gradually encouraging the child to perform moderate to high-intensity physical activity for 60 minutes a day, while engaging in activities with all family members to motivate the child.
