With 27 million appointments with general practitioners not honored, an association of representatives of liberal doctors from Île-de-France is pushing a rant.

The equivalent of removing 4,000 practicing doctors“. For the majority of respondents, this represents almost 1 hour of lost consultation time per day.

Francois Braun (current Minister of Health) had, before taking office, written in a report on emergencies that this state of affairs was a problem to be resolved in order to give back time to care for practitioners. The majority (60%) of unscrupulous patients are aged between 25 and 50 and have made an appointment in seven out of ten cases via an online platform such as Doctolib. Moreover, the platform is aware of the problem with the implementation of reminder notifications by SMS and emails.
Note that this rudeness of customers is bad for the profession since it is a loss of attractiveness of liberal medicine at a time when it is difficult to convince doctors to settle.
