iPhone 14 Pro : l’always-on se confirme

Users of the latest developer beta (iOS 16 beta 4) have noticed new animated screens features. The always-on should arrive on the high-end models.

Currently, developers, like 9toMactake advantage of the beta version 4 of iOS 16. In this new version of iOS 16, we discover an interesting novelty: adaptive wallpapers.

Apple Watch users are already familiar with the always-on principle. This means that the screen goes into “hibernation” mode while still displaying some information. On the new wallpapers discovered in the last beta, it’s the same principle. These lose their color to become less bright, but continue to display certain information.

The always-on is confirmed on iOS 16

Will this always-on be available for all users? According to the latest rumors, this would only be a feature intended for 14 Pro and Pro Max models. Indeed, the latter will benefit from the ProMotion screen which allows the screen to lower its frequency to 1 Hz. Important for energy consumption.

As a reminder, the official release of iOS 16 will take place during the next back-to-school keynote.
