Macao’s community clearing restaurants and other public departments will resume operations on the same day from tomorrow onwards

Macau’s community has been cleared for 9 consecutive days.

In view of the fact that there have been no cases of community infection in Macau for 9 consecutive days, and the 14th round of national nucleic acid testing results are all no virus detected, the risk of the spread of the new coronavirus has been greatly reduced, the Chief Executive of Macau issued an order today (1st), starting tomorrow (2nd) Starting from 2019), the measures to close down beauty salons, fitness centers, bars and other places, as well as catering establishments, will be lifted. Local residents are required to wear masks when going out, eat in food and beverage establishments, and present a 3-day sampling certificate and other requirements, which will be made through the guidelines of the health authorities. In addition, the Administration and Civil Service Bureau issued a circular letter to all public sectors today, requesting the public sector to resume normal operations from August 2.

Today, the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region issued the Chief Executive’s Instruction No. 139/2022, starting from 0:00 on August 2, 2022, to lift the closure of cinemas, cinemas, indoor playgrounds, game consoles and electronic game rooms, Internet cafes, billiard rooms, Bowling alleys, steam baths, massage parlors, beauty salons, fitness studios, health clubs, “karaoke” establishments, bars, night clubs, discos, dance halls, dance halls, barber shops and swimming pools open to the public, as well as restaurants, beverages and eating places can only provide take-out measures but not dine-in.

The health authorities will require all personnel to wear masks when going out, and catering, bars, beauty, fitness and other places must require customers to show proof of sampling within 3 days when providing services.
