“The Mana Mana Operation”: Governor Sorgho sounds the mobilization in Dori
Dori, (AIB)-The governor of the Sahel region, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien R Sorgho solemnly launched “Operation Mana Mana: My Patriotic Act for My City”, in Dori, on Saturday July 30, 2022, through cleaning, rubbish collection and spontaneous sensitization of merchants, window dressers and customers of the large Dori market.
This large-scale health, hygiene and sanitation action is organized by the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment, with a view to strengthening the civic engagement of the population around the activities of public interest.
“Operation mana mana: my patriotic act for my city”, is an act of good citizenship and citizenship that will clean up our living environment, through cleaning the city every last Saturday of the month thanks to the mobilization of young people. and women”, immediately confided the regional director of Sports, Youth and Employment of the Sahel, Souleymane Bagagnan.
In addition to the hygiene and sanitation of the city, it aims to strengthen patriotism and the civic engagement of the populations in general and the youth in particular, added M Bagagnan.
To respond to this call from the regional authorities of the Sahel, a huge crowd, armed with rakes, brooms, shovels and wheelbarrows, stormed the streets adjoining the large market of Dori, under the direction of the Regional Youth Council (CRJ) of the Sahel.
The young people and women of Dori have taken ownership of this operation because they are the first beneficiaries of its benefits, said the president of the CRJ du Sahel Ali Bokoum.
He also reassured that, given its capital importance, the operation will be sustained and extended in the sectors and concessions of the city of Dori.
For this, he called on the populations to remain mobilized for the hygiene and sanitation of the city and the restoration of social cohesion in the Sahel region.
For her part, Adjatou Diallo, a resident of the city of Dori found that this initiative is welcome. She participates in the awareness of populations on safety, she added.
While thanking the authorities for this decision, Ms. Diallo invited her fellow citizens to cultivate the use of low-cost bins, made of buckets or boxes.
Taking advantage of a walkregarding in the streets adjoining the large Dori market, the governor of the Sahel region, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien R Sorgho held awareness sessions with merchants and customers.
The regional authority has urged them to sweep the fronts of their sheds and place simple bins there. These bins, he pointed out, will be emptied into bins that the town hall is called upon to remove regularly.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sorgho also invited them to take ownership of these hygiene measures, which will improve public health. He warmly thanked the organizers for the great mobilization.
