a peak of traffic jams at 870 km this afternoon, complicated traffic on the A10 towards Bordeaux

At 11:30 a.m., the peak of traffic jams was apparently reached at 873 kilometers according to Bison Futé. The difficulties are mainly concentrated in the Paris region and in the South-East with travel times well above normal.

Up to 123 km of traffic jams on the A10

In the direction of the South-West, you have to take your troubles patiently. The disturbances are indeed increasing on the A10 leading to New Aquitaine with 123 km of accumulated traffic jams. It takes 4:25 hours to reach Poitiers from Saint-Arnoult compared to 2:30 hours in normal times, and 3:35 hours instead of 2 hours between Poitiers and Bordeaux. In Gironde, between Virsac and Lormont, nearly 18 km, traffic is accordion.

Difficult traffic also on the A63 towards the Arcachon basin and the Basque Country.

Traffic is also getting denser on the Bordeaux ring road, especially on the outer ring road and towards the junctions for the A62 and A63.

As usual, the Rhône Valley is the most congested, with around 141 km of slowdowns on the A7 motorway alone, following Lyon. Towards the south, the Lyon-Orange journey time is thus 5 hours instead of 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours instead of 1 hour 30 minutes between Orange and Lyon.

Fewer traffic jams are expected on Sunday, a day classified as orange in the direction of departures, but red along the axis of the Rhône. In the direction of returns, traffic should become more fluid but slowdowns are expected in the south-east quarter.
