Al-Marsad newspaper: Writer Fahd Amer Al-Ahmadi wondered regarding the color of the covering of the Kaaba and the reason why it was covered in black over the past years, which sparked a wide interaction.
Al-Ahmadi said in a tweet to him through his official account on Twitter: A little while ago today, the covering of the Kaaba was changed, coinciding with the start of the new Hijri year. I wonder why it is not covered in anything other than black? The kiswah was not always black, and there is no legal text that dictates that it be worn in a certain color. Rather, the purified Sunnah confirms that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, clothed it in white and red, then it was changed several times following him.
