Chris Rock came out of the silence this week regarding the slap received during the Oscars ceremony last March. It was during a show that the comedian let loose: “I am not a victim. Yeah, that shit hurt me. But I got rid of that shit and went to work the next day. I’m not going to the hospital for a paper cut.”

This Friday, it’s Will Smith’s turn to speak regarding his gesture in a video posted on social networks. Facing the camera, he answers a series of questions. It indicates that “everything is blurry” around this scene – “I didn’t realize at the time all the harm I might have done, I didn’t think regarding it”, and that, for the moment, Chris Rock refuses any communication with him. The American actor takes advantage of this clip to apologize flatly to his victim. “I’ll tell you, Chris, I apologize. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’ll be here anytime you want to talk regarding it.”, he says. Will Smith also apologized to Chris Rock’s mother and family.
