TASS, 29 July. French defender Jules Kunde will sign a five-year contract with Spanish football club Barcelona. This was announced on Friday by the press service of the team.
It is reported that the release clause for the player under the contract will amount to €1 billion. Midfielders Pedri, Ferran Torres and striker Ansu Fati have similar release clauses in Barcelona in their contracts. Kunde’s move from Sevilla was announced on 28 July.
Kunda is 23 years old, he is a graduate of the French “Bordeaux”. In July 2019, he moved to the Spanish Sevilla, for which he played 133 matches, scoring nine goals and giving three assists. The Frenchman made 70 appearances for Bordeaux, scoring four goals and providing one assist. He is the winner of the Europa League. He made 11 appearances for France and won the League of Nations.
This summer, midfielder Frank Kessier and defender Andreas Christensen joined the club on free transfer, midfielder Rafinha from the English Leeds and forward Robert Lewandowski from the German Bayern Munich also replenished the Barcelona squad.
