It’s a small revolution in the European football landscape: on Wednesday, UEFA announced the return of standing places during Champions League, Europa League and Europa League Conference matches for the 2022/23 season. France, Germany and England will be the laboratory countries for this “observation program”, as UEFA calls it, pending a possible extension.
