Responsible for “nearly 10,000 deaths in France”, suicide has been recognized as a global emergency by the WHO since 2015. The purpose of this congress is therefore to discuss this real “public health issue” to ensure upstream prevention, and better support. The establishment recalls that it “is not a courageous or cowardly gesture, it is a multifactorial process that complicates a psychiatric disorder”.
So to better understand suicide, the congress has several objectives “to determine and know the new tools” of prevention in the professional environment, or “to identify and adapt the pharmacological management” of the crisis. Throughout the year, CH Charles Perrens acts as call center, and responds to the national suicide prevention number, 3114.
