Sony launches game controller for iPhone

The Japanese company Sony, the producer of the PlayStation video game console, has launched a video game controller for iPhone phones, according to the Fon Arena website.

Instead of launching a convertible video game console like the PSP, Sony introduced this device that allows controlling games on phones, and the company may have seen this option as easier and less expensive.

The device is called Backbone One, and it is only available for iPhone users at the moment, while Android users have to wait for a copy to be released for them.

This device requires a strong connection to the Internet, as well as the presence of a PlayStation 5 or 4 game device on the user’s side, and to play games through this device, the user needs to put an iPhone inside it and use the PS Remote Play application to play PlayStation remotely and access PS5 or PS4 games directly from the phone.

Sony said that this device can control games available on the Apple App Store and other streaming services that support the device, such as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, as well as the game Call of Duty: Mobile, and more.

The device does not require any charging because it draws its power directly from the phone, and BackBon will be available for purchase in several countries, namely the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and the company will provide it in other countries.

The version that works on Android phones will arrive in November, and will be available for the same price of $100.

The device is available in black and white, noting that the first has buttons like the buttons of the PlayStation controller, and the black buttons are like the buttons of the Xbox controller.
