Lively week in the lakeside village of Gletterens

The week promises to be lively in the lakeside village of Gletterens, on the south shore of Lake Neuchâtel. Between Sunday July 31 and Sunday August 7, enthusiasts and professionals of archaeological reconstruction meet there to exchange know-how and practical experiences. The perfect opportunity for visitors to attend many activities led by people in prehistoric costume.

July 31 will welcome two authors who will present their works on prehistory: Olivier May and his novel “Piège à Ourouk” and cartoonist Julien Cachemaille, from Yvonand, will present his album “La course de canogue”.

Flint and tanning

On August 1, a “Time Travel” is organized (registration on 079 173 06 81). On August 2 and 3, bronze casting demonstrations will take place. On August 5 at 8 p.m., a concert of ancestral songs will be given by the Folies Phoniques.

On a daily basis, visitors will be able to attend flint knapping with Eric Braconnier, skin tanning with Dominique Pflieger and vegetable dyeing with Françoise Raffi. Many other activities will take place throughout the week.
