A person was killed in a traffic accident on the E403 near Torhout overnight from Thursday to Friday, confirmed the West Flanders prosecutor’s office.
The accident happened around 1:15 a.m. on the E403 towards Bruges. The emergency services arrived quickly on the scene, but too late to save the victim.
For the moment, the prosecution is limited to confirming that the accident took place near Torhout and caused one death. Further information on the exact circumstances of the crash are expected to be released later today on Friday.
