The Bogota singer-songwriter Esteman, who lives in Mexico, went viral this week following proposing to her boyfriend in a romantic serenade in the middle of a picnic on the banks of the Seine River in Paris. In the middle of the interpretation of his new song “A day in Paris”, the artist took out a ring and surprised the actor Jorge Caballero, her boyfriend, who immediately said yes.
In a video on Tik Tok, where sing the song a cappella, Esteman explained the emotions that seized him in the interpretation, which he organized in complicity with a group of friends. “When the sun goes down, the two of us in front of the Seine, with wine in hand, I ask for your hand, ours stays,” he sings before taking out the box with the ring and his voice breaking with emotion. The song will be available on all platforms today, July 28, from 7:00 p.m.
There is still no date for the wedding, but the couple has been sharing their life in Mexico for some time. After some successes in the country, such as “Don’t mess with my Facebook”, “Fuimos amor” and “Caótica Belleza”, Esteman settled in Mexico where he has continued working in music.
