The former president outlined a smile at the end of the sentence that is accompanied by the laughter of the spectators of such a scene, even Darío Gómez himself.

The images shared by former congresswoman Margarita Restrepo show the closeness between Antioquia. With the official pronouncement of the Clinic confirming the death of Darío Gómez, one of the first to react was Álvaro Uribe, who sent a heartfelt message through his official Twitter account, expressing his sadness.

“Sad night with Darío Gómez already reaching heaven. His songs and his personality remain lodged in the hearts of millions. Thank you, Master Darío”, trilled the former president.

President Iván Duque joined the messages of condolences, lamenting the loss of one of the renowned singers of the Colombian music industry.

“We deeply regret the death of the performer and composer Darío Gómez, the ‘king of spite’, one of the greatest exponents of Colombian popular music. We accompany their family and friends with solidarity, and we send them our fraternal embrace,” tweeted the president.

The artist’s life was marked by strong and painful episodes, which not only impacted him personally, but also marked his musical history. Luz Dary was only 24 years old when the bullets ended her life. According to the account of the events, the tragic event took place in Medellín, when the singer’s daughter was traveling on a bus that was attacked by a gang of criminals.
