Al Ain, 28th July, WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Police implemented a traffic awareness initiative on tire safety at the Khatam Al Shikla and Mazyad border crossings in Al Ain, as part of the “Safe Summer” campaign, which aims to educate drivers to adhere to the preventive measures and safety requirements necessary to spend a safe summer without hassles.
The Al Ain Traffic Department, the Al Ain Ports Security Department, the Community Police Affairs Department – Al Ain, the We Are All Police Department, and Michelin Company participated in the initiative.
Colonel Matar Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of Al Ain Traffic Department, confirmed the Abu Dhabi Police’s interest in improving road safety and achieving the highest levels of traffic safety, in order to achieve its vision of making roads safer.
The Al Ain Ports Security Police Department called on the public to adhere to all preventive measures that enhance their safety and protect them from accidents, and the Community Police Department in Al Ain, through members of We Are All Police, participated in distributing awareness brochures to drivers and providing advice on safety in the summer and precautions related to vehicle safety, and conducting Periodic maintenance of vehicles and tires during the summer period and to ensure their safety.
One of the People of Determination’s affiliates participated in the initiative to educate drivers regarding conducting a periodic check of their vehicles, especially with regard to the validity and quality of tires.
Michelin provided a free tire inspection, with some technical advice on the importance of ensuring the safety and quality of the vehicle’s tires and the speed of replacing them in the event of their invalidity on the road and the end of their life.
