Startup animation update Xbox Series X/S boot will be a few seconds faster

The next-generation game console Xbox Series X/S itself has a fast start-up time, and it can be further accelerated. Microsoft is testing a shorter start-up animation, allowing users to enjoy the game a few seconds faster than currently. The transition is first available to Xbox Insider beta program participants, and a developer revealed on Twitter that even the Xbox One console is benefiting from it.

Josh Munsee, Xbox’s president of marketing, later admitted that his team created a new start-up animation that halved the boot time of the Xbox console; the old start-up animation was regarding 9 seconds, while the new one took regarding 4 seconds. Users who frequently use power saving mode or shut down completely should notice a shortened startup animation, while users who are used to using standby mode may not be aware that the startup animation has changed.

Like the new features that are generally tested through the Insiders program on Xbox, Microsoft will add it in a future system update following the test is complete, when the average user will be able to save a few seconds of the console’s boot time.
