The presentation of the all new generation of Ford Mustang is scheduled for the month of September on the occasion of the next edition of the Detroit Motor Show.
This is information to be taken with a grain of salt but, according to a source familiar with the matter with which our colleagues fromAutomotive News Europe had the opportunity to talk, the presentation of the next Ford Mustang – the seventh to wear this name – would be imminent. The next-generation American sports car is apparently scheduled to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, which will open its doors on September 14 to journalists around the world (the 17th to the public) following a few years of interruption due to the pandemic.

An unchanged range of engines?
According to two other people, the range of engines of the Mustang would not evolve one iota. We would therefore find on the one hand a four-cylinder 2.3 petrol engine of 317 hp, on the other the V8 5.0 (the only engine now offered in France) available, we imagine, in several power levels and always available in mechanical gearbox . With one exception, something new would be on the agenda… Yes, you guessed it, a hybrid variant. Which should combine the 4-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and developing a power more or less similar to that of the V8 (around 450 hp) while delivering even more torque (529 Nm for the model still in the catalog). Side look, on the other hand, there will be change as well as the first photos in flight of the model allowed us to note it. A presentation in the wake of the Paris Motor Show is not to be excluded. In any case, his arrival in Europe therefollowing is assured, reassured?
