In Voronezh, on Yuzhno-Moravskaya Street, on the night of July 27, a vandal damaged cars, according to local residents and the media.
TASS With reference to the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, several residents of the city turned to the police following they found inscriptions painted in the form of the letter Z on their cars.
“OP 5 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Voronezh received several applications from local residents regarding damage to cars by applying paint to the metal coating of vehicles. Police officers are taking all the necessary measures to identify the persons involved in the commission of an unlawful act, an inspection is being carried out, ”the agency was told in the central office.
The government of the Voronezh region confirmed the fact of vandalism. According to the administration, on Yuzhno-Moravska Street, unknown people painted several dozen cars with symbols of a special military operation in Ukraine. The government noted that local authorities “unconditionally and fully support” the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine and hope that those responsible for vandalism will be punished.
The author of the post in the group “My and yours Voronezh” claims that there are more than a hundred damaged cars.
“News of Voronezh” Governor Alexander Gusev is quoted as saying: “We respect the right to private property and consider what happened on South Moravska Street a heinous provocation aimed at discrediting the Russian armed forces. We hope that the perpetrators will be punished.”
