Many video gamers may feel the need to expand their game storage space to address these gaming issues, as Seagate has released storage drives compatible with PS4 and PS5 consoles with its officially licensed external Game Drive series.
These drives are external solid state and come with a three-year limited warranty, and will be available exclusively on Amazon, from July 23 onwards.
Designed and optimized specifically to work with PS4 and PS5 consoles, these external hard drives are lightweight and offer less than two minutes of tool-free installation and commissioning, Seagate claims, and are connected and powered by USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0), Seagate’s additional storage options for PlayStation consoles do not require a separate power cord, to help make it easier for gamers to work.
In addition, to celebrate the new Game Drive and the upcoming release of Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and PS4, Seagate has teamed up with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla Games for the Horizon Forbidden West Limited Edition Game Drive, which is available in 2TB and 5TB capacities. Owners can also play their PS4 games directly from the drive.
