Russian Foreign Ministry: Russians may stop issuing Schengen visas

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs admitted that Russians would no longer be issued Schengen visas.

“We are already seeing a virtually complete suspension of visa processing for Russian citizens in the consular offices of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Estonia located in Russia,” said Ivan Volynkin, director of the consular department of the Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS. – In the event of a radical degradation of consular ties with other countries – members of the Schengen Agreement, even seemingly improbable scenarios cannot be ruled out.

The diplomat added that Russia will not yet open the possibility of obtaining electronic visas to foreigners in connection with the unfriendly actions of Europe. At the same time, according to Volynkin, the Russian Foreign Ministry and the US State Department continue contacts on visa issues and the normalization of the work of diplomatic missions.

Ukraine is proposed to be recognized as a terrorist state

The Just Russia party has prepared a draft law on “terrorist states”. According to RIA Novosti, the document assumes that Russia will break off diplomatic relations with such countries and confiscate the property of their citizens to compensate for damage, and recognize the countries supplying weapons there as sponsors of terrorism. According to the publication, only Ukraine is included in the list of terrorist states attached to the bill. Earlier, Ukraine recognized Russia as a terrorist state.
