Kuwait Manpower Authority says that minors cannot get work permits

According to Article 27 of Labor Law No. 6 of 2010, a person who has reached the age of 15 can enter into an employment contract for an indefinite period up to the age of 18. According to Article 20 of the Labor Act, only the authority has the right to issue a work permit. It is up to the authority to decide whether or not to provide it as required.

The Authority shall first issue a warning if any worker is caught violating the provisions of Section 141 of the Act. He clarified that if the violation is repeated, a fine of not less than 100 dinars and not more than 200 dinars will be imposed.
