Tariq Hamed, the former Egyptian star of Zamalek, signed a historic contract to move to the Saudi Al-Ittihad club during the current summer transfer period.
Tariq Hamed joined the ranks of Al-Ittihad in a free transfer deal, following the expiration of his contract with Zamalek, as the 33-year-old Egyptian player signed a two-season contract with the Tigers, which will expire on June 30, 2024.
Zamalek’s attempts to persuade Tariq Hamed to renew his contract did not succeed, so the international player left following a severe clash with the White Castle administration.
And Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek Club, in statements (Monday), to reveal that Tariq Hamed’s salary with Al-Ittihad was what prompted him to leave Zamalek.
And Egyptian press reports indicated earlier that Tariq Hamed renewed his contract with Zamalek for the last time, with an annual salary of 14 million Egyptian pounds (regarding 3 million Saudi riyals).
Tariq Hamed’s salary with the Saudi Federation
The Saudi newspaper, Al-Eqtisadiah, had recently revealed the terms of the union’s contract with Tariq Hamed, quoting sources close to it, following the Egyptian star signed his contract with the brigadier general.
The newspaper said that the deal cost the Union treasury 5 million US dollars, equivalent to 18.8 million riyals (regarding 94 million Egyptian pounds), at 9.4 million Saudi riyals per season (regarding 47 million Egyptian pounds), so that he receives 782.9 thousand riyals per month.
The newspaper described this salary as historical, and that it is the highest among the Egyptian players who previously played in the Saudi League.
