But since metal fans from all over Austria are expected, you should think regarding how you want to plan your journey to the concert in good time. Of course there is the possibility to come by public transport. At the same time, numerous parking facilities make it easier to arrive by car.
First you should take a look at the Timetable of the concert evening throw:
- Inlet: 6 p.m
- Support: 19:30 o’clock
- Show start: 8:30 p.m
Arrival by car and parking spaces
If you drive to the Slipknot concert by car, you should plan some time to look for a parking space. Although the trade fair offers some of its own parking spaces, it can of course be the case that the desired facility is already full if there is a short journey there.
The following parking garages are recommended:
- Parking garage Messe/Stadthalle: access via Fröhlichgasse (costs: 8 euros)
- P1: access via Fröhlichgasse (costs 6 euros)
- Fröhlichgasse car park: access via Fröhlichgasse (costs 8 euros)
- Attention: The passage through Fröhlichgasse is currently closed, but access via Conrad-von-Hötzendorfstraße to the parking garage, to P1 and the Fröhlichgasse car park is possible!
- P2: access via Flurgasse (costs 8 euros)
- With this car park you should expect a walk of regarding 500 meters (regarding 5 minutes) to the entrance of the Stadthalle.
Also useful information for drivers: access via Münzgrabenstraße is not possible.
Arrival by public transport
The Graz Stadthalle is not far from the city center, which is why you can walk there (approx. 15 minutes) from the main traffic junction Jakominiplatz (almost all lines stop there).
Otherwise tram line 4 stops directly in front of the location (station “Stadthalle”). And the 34, 74 and 82 buses also get you there. Simply get off at the “Jakominigurt/tim” station.
