A case of monkeypox confirmed in Guadeloupe

It is the ARS which announces it in a press release dated this Monday, July 25, 2022. It from a person who resides in Guadeloupe and who was returning from France following having been in contact with a person also confirmed as as in Ile de France

The patient confirmed in Guadeloupe was immediately taken care of and has since been medically monitored. As soon as the first signs suggestive of monkeypox appeared, he was placed in isolation at home.
At the same time, the ARS and Public Health France are continuing their investigations to ensure that the virus has not spread elsewhere and in particular in the entourage of the patient in question.

As for the person residing in Ile de France with whom the patient was in contact, he had been detected at the beginning of July and observed strict isolation.
