The Los Angeles Fire Department said two people were killed and five others were shot in Los Angeles on Sunday, following a shooting at an unofficial auto showroom in the town of San Pedro.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said paramedics had taken seven people to area hospitals, and that two of them, a man and a woman, had died of their injuries.
Humphrey said the shooting victims, four men and three women, ranged in age from 23 to 54, but he might not provide any information regarding the cause of the confrontation.
Humphrey said the auto show was an informal gathering rather than a formal event. As part of Southern California’s auto culture, classic car owners and others often gather in public to show off their driving ways.
