The Public Prosecution is conducting investigations into the death of Dr. Samira Ezzat, following she fell into an elevator shaft in October.

The Public Prosecution had received a notification on the nineteenth of this month of the death of Dr. Samira Ezzat, a member of the board of directors of a medical service company, following she fell into an elevator well following colliding with it while he was at her workplace. So, the Public Prosecution moved to the site of the accident as soon as it was reported to inspect it and interview the body with it. It listened to the statements of an eyewitness to the incident from the employees of the company at the place of work of the deceased. Before her to accompany her, the elevator moved before her, so she stuck between it and the outer wall, so her bones broke and her head was smashed, and she fell into the elevator well. The specialized maintenance technician assigned to the company for this matter to fix it, and the deceased’s husband testified that he did not accuse anyone of any accusation.

By signing the health inspector’s apparent medical examination of the deceased’s body, he stated that there was no criminal suspicion in her death, and police investigations were also received to confirm the same matter that there was no criminal suspicion in the death.

And by interrogating the maintenance technician who accompanied the deceased in the elevator before the accident following being accused of killing her by mistake, he denied the accusation attributed to him, and stated that he had moved the elevator up while accompanying the deceased, so he moved ahead of her, and was unable to stop him or rescue her.

Accordingly, the Public Prosecution ordered the pretrial detention of the accused for four days pending investigations, and the court, which is competent to consider the extension of his detention, decided to release him with a financial guarantee of five thousand pounds, and investigations are being completed.
