Ms. Ndayishimiye recommended that participants follow the teachings of this messenger from God who comes from afar to show Burundians how to live, work and commune with God.

The three-day crusade which began on Friday July 15, 2022 at the Church of the Rock ended on Tuesday July 19, 2022 in the presence of First Lady Angéline Ndayishimiye. She thanked the members of the Church of the Rock and the shepherdess of this Church, Pastor Denise Bucumi Nkurunziza for having invited her to this crusade. She also thanked Pastor Marcello and God who sent him to Burundi. She asked the participants to recognize the favor of God towards Burundians through this pastor who comes from afar to come to Burundi in order to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. “I ask all of you present not to neglect the honor we have received from the Lord. We are here because God has a message for us. Some of us have left different chores at home and are gathered here around the word of God, so let’s not waste this good time, let’s carefully follow what God wants for our life,” Ms. Ndayishimiye said.

Pastor Marcello Tunasi in turn thanked the First Lady of Burundi and former First Lady Pastor Denise Bucumi Nkurunziza for their good cooperation. He praised their mutual respect. For him, it is a great honor for Burundi to have these two exemplary ladies who have given Jesus Christ the first place in their lives.

Lessons for couples

In his teachings for married couples, Pastor Tunasi recommended that they ask themselves ten questions to know what their spouses do not like, what they like, what one reproaches the other, if before God each can say that he is a good wife or a good husband, if they are a good father and a good mother. He also asked them how much time they give to their children, how much time each spends with their spouse, the place of the telephone and television in their homes, if they have family worship at home and what is the place of Jesus Christ in their families.
