Bengaluru – A 19-year-old Malayali youth was attacked and killed by a gang in Sullya, Karnataka, following he was summoned to settle a verbal dispute. Muhammad Masood, a native of Kasarkot Mogral Puthur, died. Masood had come to Karnataka a month ago for wage work. A relative of Sullya was staying at the house for the past few days. The police arrested eight people from Sullya in the incident. The Karnataka Bellare police have started an investigation.
An argument between the murdered Muhammad Masood and one of the accused, Sudhir, resulted in the murder. Sudhir Masood was summoned to the area called Vishnunagari to settle the dispute between the two. Later, the group of eight who were with Sudhir attacked Masood as a group. According to the police, one of the gang stabbed Masood with a broken bottle. Masood, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru, died last day following being seriously injured in the attack.
