In a statement to GoNintendo at the time, the Genshin Impact team said, “The Switch version is still in development and will reveal more information as we go further. Genshin Impact is currently only available for PS4, PC, iOS and Android. The Switch was the game’s next upcoming port, and there’s no mention of a version of the game for the Xbox console.

Genshin Impact is a popular free-to-play RPG, and if you want to try it out on an already ported console, you can download it for free. On PlayStation, as with other free games like Fortnite and Apex Legends, there is no cost to download and start Genshin Impact.
Unfortunately, we can’t currently confirm whether Genshin Impact will be available as a free download for the Nintendo Switch, as miHoYo hasn’t commented on the price of the title for the console.

Often, when popular free games are ported to new consoles, they can be downloaded for free from the console’s eShop, but in some cases players will have to pay for the game. For example, Apex Legends is a free game, but you may have to pay up to $30 to purchase the actual version of the title (or download code). That said, spending extra cash often gives you extra cosmetics and perks.
The actual version of Genshin Impact may cost players, but if it’s okay to download the title to the Switch as on PlayStation, there will still be a free-to-play version. Change players.
