New Delhi ∙ India’s President-elect Draupadi Murmu had a great time yesterday! Special guests who arrived with congratulatory bouquets were received, asked for details and posed for photographs. On the first day following winning the presidential election, Draupadi Murmu became the host at No. 4 Umashankar Road, Delhi’s temporary residence.
A group of Brahmakumaris, whom Draupadi believes gave her strength in the face of difficulties in her life, were the first to meet the President-elect yesterday. A group led by BK Pushpa, director of Karolbagh Brahma Kumaris, also offered a special prayer for Draupadi. Soon following, he received a phone call from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from Odisha.
