All phones from our previous list of phones under Rs 15,000 were eligible for inclusion in this list as well. Most of them are still going strong, but a few new contenders have arrived and manage to displace some of the old guard. Other than phones with 50MP cameras, we also have a few 5G-ready phones in this budget right now.

As we generally do, we chose phones with 6GB of RAM, and you also have a few options with AMOLED screens, high refresh rate screens, or even both. It’s time to look at who made the cut this month.

The Oppo K10 comfortably holds its place on our compliment list for its sector-wide feature set starting with an IP5X rated dustproof design. It is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. This phone runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.

The imaging department is managed by a 50MP primary camera that does most of the heavy lifting. This gives the company a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is another Oppo phone on this list. I don’t remember seeing two phones from the company on the same list under 15k before that. This option is specifically for those who want a 5G-ready phone. The Oppo A74 5G is one of the most affordable 5G phones. There’s nothing flashy in its spec sheet, but just like the K10, it has most of the basics covered. This also runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.

Infinix as a brand has been impressive this year and has been consistently on the list of budget phones. The Infinix Note 12 5G is one of the company’s latest releases that catches our eye. It features a large 6.7-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Even better, this phone is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 SoC, which is a great choice in this segment and easily the most powerful on this list. You get 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded with a microSD card.

The Motorola G31 holds its spot on our list thanks to its great features and user interface, and it’s now available under 14K. It has a 6.4-inch Full HD + AMOLED display, but with a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. This phone has a 50MP primary camera on the back, along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro camera. The 13MP selfie camera is housed in a small hole at the top of the screen. The phone has a water resistant design which is perfect for this season. Although it does not have an IP rating.

Motorola G31

The Moto G31 is powered by a Mediatek Helio G85 chip that is suitable enough for daily operations. It is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage (expandable).
