Research indicates significant health benefits of coffee and tea
A research study published in PLOS medicine on November 16, 2021 found that consuming coffee and tea in the diet was associated with a reduced risk of dementia and stroke. A study was conducted by researchers who analyzed in-depth data on the health and self-reported coffee and tea drinking habits of adult participants aged 50 to 74 in the UK. In addition, the study extended over 11 years and included 365,000 people.
According to the study, those who consumed between two and three cups of coffee a day in addition to two to three cups of tea had a 28 percent lower risk of developing dementia. In addition, a 32% reduction in the incidence of stroke was observed in those who drank coffee and tea during the study compared to those who did not drink either beverage during the study period.

Despite the fact that individual consumption of tea and coffee has shown a significant association with reducing the risk of stroke, ischemic stroke, dementia and vascular dementia, combining the two showed that they reduced the risk by approximately 30%.
