Responding to a question from Télam, the Minister of Health maintained that “although children from 6 months of age have less risk than those over 50 years of age, that risk is not zero and in countries that have not vaccinated, the increase in cases it is at the expense of boys and girls and as there are more cases the possibility of complications, serious cases and even deaths increases. Therefore having our population protected from 6 months is very important for individual benefit“.
“The more population we have vaccinated, the fewer the number of cases and, above all, decrease hospitalizations and deaths,” said Vizzotti, following stating that unlike other diseases, the coronavirus vaccine does not eliminate or eradicate covid-19.
