The new missing Egyptian captain… his friend reveals earthquake details

He also added that he spoke with his friend at the end of last month, when he told him that he was on board the ship in Japan and it was exposed to a large hole. In order not to sink until the end of the itinerary.

He also revealed that the quantities of water increased sharply and the ship actually began to sink on July 12, forcing the captain to lower the lifeboat for the crew members to leave the ship before it sank, pointing out that Sameh, according to the accounts of his other colleagues, lost his balance from the boat and fell into the water. When his colleague Muhammad Jamal tried to save him, he fell with him.

He also added that Sameh and his colleague Muhammad Jamal have been in the waters of the Indian Ocean for 7 days.

A report from the family

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian authorities had received a report from the family of the young man that he was missing due to the sinking of a commercial cargo ship on which he was working. The Jordanian authorities have not found him so far.

On Thursday, the Egyptian Ministry of Immigration announced that it was following up with the Jordanian ambassador the search for the young man and providing it with an urgent report on the circumstances of the accident.

Sameh Syed Shaaban, born in 1998, graduated from the Jordan Naval Academy last year, and then worked on a merchant ship.
