Funeral of man found in a drum under Las Cucharas bridge in Viña ended with two detainees | National

Two people ended up detained as part of the funeral – listed as “high risk” – of a man who was found dead under the Las Cucharas bridge in Viña del Mar.

With two detainees by Carabineros, the funeral of a man who was found dead on Monday -inside a drum- under the Las Cucharas bridge in the city of Viña del Mar ended.

Several incidents -although minor- had been registered in the previous funeral that took place in the Belloto Sur sector of QuilpuéValparaiso region.

This event had been classified as high risk by Carabineros, for which they activated all the necessary protocols to go to the place, looking for the activity to take place normally.

Within the operation, the police force deployed 7 vans, 4 mobile checkpoints, 4 motorcycles, 1 drone, a car that launches gas, one sprays water, a bus and a total of 91 uniformed police officers.

Commander Mario Recabarren delivered the balance of this funeral.

About 300 people gathered in the cemetery premises, who left once the ceremony was over. However, two people were arrested in this context: one for disturbances on public roads and another for concealment of identity.

In this context, the councilor of Quilpué, Paula Castro, valued that this funeral ended without major incidents.

In the previous one, on Wednesday night, 3 people were arrested for violating the law on weapons and explosives when they were caught carrying artifice elements at the wake, which were presumably going to be used at the funeral.

In addition, auditors Radio Bio Bio They reported that that Wednesday night there were a large number of fireworks and detonations in the vicinity of where the wake was taking place.
