The Congress Oversight Commission holds an extraordinary session to hear the testimony of the former Minister of the Interior, Mariano Gonzalez, who denounced alleged obstruction of justice by of President Pedro Castillo. He also quoted the chief of staff, Hannibal Torres, who must respond to the questions and explain the reasons for the removal of said former official. He also summoned the current head of the Interior, Willy Huerta.

On Tuesday night, President Castillo removed Mariano González from the Ministry following he formed a special team in the National Police, coordinated by Harvey Colchadoto support the work of prosecutor Marita Barreto, who is in charge of investigating characters linked to the president’s environment.
As soon as he left office, González pointed out that the president is committed to acts of corruption and accused him of seeking to obstruct justice.
