Apple has rolled out the latest updates for its systems. Among these are iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 which will probably refine the experience one last time before the official release of iOS 16 in the fall.
It’s almost time to say goodbye to iOS 15. Apple now offers iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 versions of its operating systems for iPhone and iPad.
On these versions, few new additions are present due to the imminent arrival ofiOS 16. We remain on more general improvements that refine the system and fix some bugs.
A plus for sports fans and a few less bugs
The update fixes an issue in settings that showed storage full even when there was space available. It also fixes a bug that caused some Safari tabs to jump back to a previous search page.
Another problem that might cause the Apple Books application to crash when opening a book has also been corrected. Finally, it fixes a final bug that might cause Braille devices to slow down or stop responding when viewing text in the Mail app.
If you are in a country benefiting from sports content offered by Apple, the app Apple TV will offer restarting a match that has already started, pausing it, rewinding or even fast forwarding the action.
Future versions of these two operating systems, iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 are expected to launch in the fall and are already available for public beta testers.
Apple has also released new versions for its other systems with the release of macOS 12.5 watchOS 8.7 and tvOS 15.6 although no real additional changes can be seen.
