There is no imminent danger.. a hidden agreement that eased the conflict between Russia and Ukraine

As the Russian military operation approaches its sixth month, and despite the military and economic losses, the world has not yet sounded the alarm.

Some experts have revealed their belief that the conflict between the two countries has been contained to some extent.

They saw that the war circle did not cross the borders of Ukraine, that is, it did not cross the “red lines”, according to a report published by the American magazine “Foreign Affairs”.

Details of a hidden agreement that saved the situation

The information also indicated that an undeclared agreement between Russia and the West, specifically America, was a pledge to avoid direct conflict, revealing that this took place despite Western countries continuing to provide Ukraine with weapons and even the imposition of successive sanctions on Russia.

She added that this agreement has proven effective, especially in light of the desire of US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to keep that war within its borders.

Nevertheless, the report pointed to concerns that have emerged recently as the conflict continues over the possibility of it getting out of control and threatening the security and stability of the entire world.

He cited Putin’s recent threat regarding expanding the war to make it a “regional war”, threatening to target European countries more than once, while Biden repeatedly stressed that he would not send troops to Ukraine, and therefore did not want to expand the clashes.

He stressed that it is possible for Ukrainian forces to target the Russian depth with specific strikes on military targets, and it is also possible for these strikes to succeed, which will cause a Russian military response that may extend into the territories of NATO countries.

In addition, he indicated that the potential widening of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict may be due to the failure of negotiations.

The sixth month

It is noteworthy that the Russian military operation in Ukraine will enter its sixth month next week, amid the stalemate in negotiations and the lack of official solutions.

Since that time, most Western countries have lined up with Kyiv, supporting it with weapons and equipment.

While Moscow has repeatedly warned that NATO’s policy is “provocative”, warning that the militarization of Eastern European countries will not lead to more stability.
