The life between the late artist Fouad Al-Mohandes and his wife, the late artist Shwikar, was not happy and filled with love, tenderness and peace of mind, as it is known and announced to all. The days and nights were stormed by panic, sadness and disappointment.
The beginning of the relationship did not suggest that, but Fouad Al-Mohandes himself admitted when he described his girlfriend as a “biscuit” and since it is, as he said, no matter how beautiful it tastes, there must come a moment and melt, perish and disappear, as is the case with biscuits if you put it in a cup of tea filled with sugar.

In previous statements, Menna Allah, the daughter of the artist Shwikar, said that her mother’s photographic archive had been damaged by the rain.
She explained, during television statements, that she was keeping the pictures inside a wooden box on the balcony of her house, and the daughter did not know at all where her mother put the pictures, except that she was by chance, when she discovered that the rain had reached her and there was no way to recover them.
At that time, the artist’s daughter said, on the “Ninth” program, on the Egyptian Channel One: “Praise be to God, the tapes of Mamti’s plays and films and their prizes are inside the library, praise be to God at home, but those who have been damaged are unfortunately rare pictures of the scenes of artworks with stars from writers, directors and composers like Professor Mohamed Abdel Wahab. And Professor Kamal Al-Taweel, unfortunately the photos are very valuable.”
And she continued: “It is surrounded by all the needs, these pictures are in the balcony, the rain has fallen and all the pictures are gone, and the apartment is a first floor, and the balcony is open and not locked, and by God, my mother is not yet dead, and I did not know, I remember that she kept all the archives inside the house, and uncle Fouad Al-Muhandis and the fire that happened At home, everything was lost and the archive was also lost, and I was still thinking and saying destiny.. Praise be to God that certificates of appreciation and awards are fine and they are in my mind.
How did Shwikar allow the “engineer” betrayal?
The “biscuit” changed into a cactus that injure Fouad Al-Mohandes whenever he approached her. Her feelings changed and she rebelled once morest the great love he was giving her, which made her vanity, sadness and regret.
He felt that there was something, but he loved her and overlooked things that might be tolerated, until the moment came that turned the loving lover into a wild beast.
On one of the evenings, Shwikar was next to her husband, “the engineer,” and everything was going well, and “Fouad” noticed looks between his wife and the young actor “at the time” Mohamed Khairy, but things went naturally.
“The Engineer” and Shwikar were scheduled to be present in a new movie that brings them together, “The Bride of the Wazir’s daughter”, but he was surprised that he was cast on the ground to be the third role in the film, and that Muhammad Khairy is the one who will share Shwikar’s championship.
Fouad Al-Muhandis went crazy, but he was holding his nerve as much as possible, according to what was published by the “Lebanese Network” magazine.
On one of the nights, the couple was together in a new evening where “Khairy” was present, and “The Engineer” once more noticed an exchange of looks between them, and here he took Shwikar home and a big battle ensued between them called betrayal and jealousy.
The separation took place between them following that, and Fouad Al-Muhandis remained alone, feeling orphaned without her. As for her, she confirmed that she had not been faithful to him by her marriage following him, and she lived happy nights and left unhappiness to those who gave her his heart forever.
It is noteworthy that Shwikar left our world, in August of last year, at the age of 82, and she began her artistic career in the early sixties in the cinema with short but distinctive roles, such as the films “My Only Love” in 1960 in front of Kamal Al-Shennawi, and “Gram Al-Asyid.” In 1961 in front of Omar Sharif, and “The Wife 13” in 1962 in front of Rushdi Abaza.
She met for the first time with the artist Fouad Al-Mohandes, whom she later married, in the play “The Technical Secretary”, which was directed and co-starred by Abdel Moneim Madbouly, and then formed with “Al-Mohandes” a distinguished theatrical duo in the sixties of the last century. The scenes include “I, he and she, I am Finn and you are Finn, I and she and His Highness, Eve at 12 o’clock, and my beautiful lady.”
