KRENGLBACH. From Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24, the anniversary edition of the Krenglbach summer cinema will take place this year. Started ten years ago in the atrium of the newly built elementary school, the open-air cinema has now become a fixed point in the summer events of the Krenglbacher. With its culinary and cinematic delicacies, it is also known throughout the district.
This year’s cinematic excursion leads from Germany via England to Iceland. On Sunday, the children’s cinema stops at a holiday beach in France.
Kangaroo Chronicles
It starts on Friday with the “Kangaroo Chronicles”, the cult story regarding the Berlin artist Marc-Uwe and his new roommate – a kangaroo. Shortly therefollowing, when the latter takes on a real estate shark, Marc-Uwe’s life is turned upside down.
Men’s synchronized swimming
A real men’s film will be shown on Saturday. In “Swimming with Men” the bored accountant Eric is suddenly snapped out of his midlife crisis. One evening, as he is swimming laps, he discovers something strange: a group of men are gliding rhythmically through the pool next to him – and from then on they will change his life forever.
Passionate fighter
In the Sunday evening film, on the other hand, a woman becomes a passionate fighter for the planet. In the Icelandic film Against the Current, Halla leads a comfortable life during the day, but at night she sabotages the local aluminum industry as a mysterious “mountain woman”. One day, when she gets a call from Ukraine, it throws her plans into turmoil…
