“It produces effects approximately between 15 and 30 minutes, basically of a neurological type, drowsiness, impaired consciousness, headache and even loss of consciousness,” he commented.

He added that victims of burundanga poisoning have physical contact through substances such as perfumes or objects (books, sheets, leaflets and brochures), so he suggested keeping a distance, especially with unknown people.

“You have to be very vigilant, watchful eye. Do not let strangers approach us, do not accept things from people we do not know, such as papers. Nor smell aromas of supposed perfumes or try on a garment, ”he indicated.

He said that the best thing to do when faced with a possible suspicion of intoxication is to seek help immediately, call by phone or approach an authority or person to indicate that he was violated.

“Always the call to the alert and to all those who consider that they have been affected by this type of substance is to make the pertinent complaint before the police authorities who insist that if the complaint is not made, it is unlikely and very difficult to carry out the follow-up and investigation. investigation to capture these people who commit this crime”, emphasized the union leader.

Óscar Noguera, an internist doctor, explained that hugs and kisses are a way to achieve intoxication, which can cause submission, amnesia and facilitate robbery or rape.

He added that to avoid burundanga poisoning, it is recommended not to drink in places where you cannot supervise the drinks, not accept any drinks from strangers, “surround yourself with people you trust while having fun and avoid being sprayed with any substance.”
