Two Belgian restaurants among the 50 best in the world

Belgium has reason to be proud, two of its establishments have just won international awards.

Over the years, Belgium has distinguished itself throughout the world for its gastronomy. Thereby, four Belgian restaurants specializing in vegetables entered the ranking of the ten best establishments in the field worldwide. In 2020, two other restaurants were rewarded for their steaks. Today, two other establishments have just been congratulated.

Indeed, this Monday, July 18 takes place the award ceremony of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. An evening during which the 50 best restaurants around the world are rewarded for their fine cuisine. At the top of this ranking, we find chef Rasmus Kofoed’s Geranium establishment located in Copenhagen, which also occupied second place in this same ranking in 2021. The Central restaurant in Lima is in second place while third position was assigned to the Disfrutar establishment in Barcelona.

But Belgium also has something to be proud of, since two of its restaurants have been included in this ranking. Thus, The Jane located in Antwerp entered this prestigious list on the 23rde square. Chef Peter Goossens of the Hof Van Cleve restaurant is ranked 27the square. Two Flemish establishments, therefore, which today risk attracting many new gourmets.
